Washington Dc Earthquake: An Dc Earthquake with a magnitude that measured 3.6 shook the Washington area on Friday at about 5:04 in the morning. Thousands of residents reported that they felt the ground shaking as they slept. Some residents’ comments are below: “The whole house shook,” said Carroll Ripley, of Germantown. “I thought maybe there was an explosion or a plane flew over the house or something.” “I went straight outside to do a perimeter check — in my underwear,” he said. The Dc Earthquake’s epicenter was located in the Germantown-Gaithersburg area. It is near I-270 and Route 119 (39.167°N, 77.252°W). The depth of the quake was 3.1 miles deep according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
